 11 day - ITINERARY:


Monday - Day 1: Departure - USA to ISRAEL We will depart from a North American gateway on an overnight transatlantic flight to Israel. Meals and in-flight movies and music will be served on board. Tuesday -


Day 2: Welcome to Israel We will land at Ben Gurion Airport and are met by a Trips Israel representative immediately after passport control. After fetching our luggage, we will be escorted outside the terminal to meet our guide and driver and motor couch. We will have a short drive to the beautiful Mediterranean coast of Tel Aviv. Prior to our arrival at our hotel, we will stop at the Old Port City of Jaffa, south of Tel Aviv for a quick tour and a beautiful panoramic view of Tel Aviv. We will check-in to our hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to wander the seaside promenade of Tel Aviv. Overnight at hotel in Tel Aviv Wednesday


- Day 3: Journey north After breakfast (at our hotel), We will leave Tel Aviv and drive north along the Mediterranean coast to the ancient city of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great and once occupied by Roman rule. Caesarea is also where Pontius Pilate had his base. We will view the excavated Roman theatre, with its acoustic and theatrical sound. We will drive north to Haifa and ascend to the top of Mt. Carmel, also known where Elijah fought the 400 false profits. We will view the botanical gardens below and a view from a distance of Haifa Bay. We turn inland and proceed to Megiddo, one of King Solomon's walled, fortified cities (1st Kings 9:15; 10:26), with the ruins of 20 levels of civilization and identified as the site of Armageddon. We will continue to Nazareth, to visit the Church of the Annunciation. A very short distance, we will visit Cana, the site where Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding ceremony. We will drive through the Pastoral Hills of the Galilee to our hotel in Tiberias, followed by dinner. Overnight in Tiberias


Thursday -


Day 4: Golan Heights and Western Galilee After breakfast, we will start our day with a drive to visit Banias, one of the sources of the River Jordan and the site of ancient Caesaria Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith in Christ (Matt. 16:16). We will return south to Western Galilee to visit Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes (John 6:1-14) and the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered perhaps the most significant sermon ever preached - "The Sermon On The Mount" (Matt. 5). We will continue to Kibbutz Nof Ginosar for a St. Peter's fish lunch. After lunch, we will board a boat for a short cruise on the Sea of Galilee. We will journey to Capernaum (Kfar Nachum), the center of Jesus’ Galilean ministry and the site of many of His miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt. 8:5; 14-17; 9:1-7; 17:18). We will see the remains of Peter’s (Shimon's) house and the synagogue site where Jesus taught and worshiped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). We will return back to our hotel, via Yardenit, where we will have a chance to be baptized. Enjoy dinner at hotel. Suggested stroll the city of Tiberias at leisure. Overnight in Tiberias Friday -


Day 5: Journey to Jerusalem After breakfast, we will leave Tiberias and drive south to visit the city of Beit Shean, one of the largest ongoing archaeological dig in the land of Israel. Here, we will tour the colonnaded Roman streets, mosaics, the Cardo and the Roman bathhouses (1st Samuel 31:10). We will continue with our drive south through the lush Jordan Valley where the dessert now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2) towards Judea. En route, we will view St. George's Greek Monastery from a distance. Upon our arrival in Jerusalem, we will stop at Mt. Scopus for a beautiful panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem and for a traditional Sheyechyanu blessing for our arrival to this special city. We will continue to the House of Caiaphas - the high priest who interrogated Jesus (Mark 14:53- 65). After check-in, we will enjoy a traditional Shabbat dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem Saturday -


Day 6: Jerusalem/Bethlehem After breakfast, we will start the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb. It is believed by many, this was the site of Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified and resurrected. We will drive to the top of the Mount of Olives, for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Here, we will also see the Golden Gates and the ancient Jewish cemetery. We will stroll down the mount by foot to visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus Jesus was arrested. From here we proceed to Mt. Zion to visit the Upper Room and David's Tomb, where the Last Supper was held (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38). We will drive to Israel Museum to see the model city of Jerusalem as it used to look like in 66 CE. In that fateful year, the Great Revolt against the Romans erupted, resulting in the destruction of the city and the Temple. In the same complex, we will also visit the Shrine of the Book to see the original Dead Sea scrolls and where they are housed. In the afternoon, we will drive to Bethlehem. We will arrive at Manger Square and enter into the Church of the Nativity. It is believed by many that this was the site of Jesus' birth place. We return to Jerusalem. Enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem Sunday -


Day 7: Jerusalem - Old City After breakfast, we will drive to the Old City and enter through the Dung Gate. Our first stop will be the Southern Wall excavations. See the beauty of the ruins, including the famous Robinson Arch, which used to lead the high priests into the Temple. We will proceed through the broad stone stairway down to the Western Wall, to see Judaism Holiest place. We will begin at the passageways descending through the many layers of Jerusalem's past through the Western Wall Tunnels, also called “The Rabbi's Tunnels”. We will exit along the Christian Quarter to see the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a lame man (John 5). We will retrace the steps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa (the way of the cross) and its stations. We pass through the colorful bazaars, alleyways and marketplaces to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will proceed to the Jewish Quarter, which was reconstructed after the city was unified at the conclusion of the Six-Day War in 1967. After lunch (own expense), a special point of interest in the restored Jewish Quarter is; the "Cardo", meaning the "heart" of this ancient Byzantine City. We will leave the Old cist and proceed to Yad Vashem - the Israeli Holocaust memorial, where six million Jews perished in the Holocaust in Nazi Germany. Enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem Monday -


Day 8: Journey through the Dead Sea area to Eilat After an early breakfast, we will drive towards the Dead Sea area. Our route will take us back down the main highway towards the shores of the Dead Sea. As we get closer to the shores of the Dead Sea, we will start to descend to the lowest point on the surface of the earth at 1305 feet (398m) below sea level. We will turn south and start driving along the shores of the Dead Sea to visit Qumran, where a young shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls. We will continue south to the legendary mountaintop plateau of Masada. We will ascend by cable car to the ancient synagogue and to explore the ancient fortress. This was the story, of the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their struggle against the Romans. The Zealots held out for three years against the legions of Flavius Silva and chose to die as free men at their own hands in preference to Roman slavery. From the top of Masada, the outlines of the Roman encampments are still visible below. We will have some time to float on the unsinkable waters of the Dead Sea, before leaving to Eilat. We will arrive to Eilat for check-in, followed by dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Eilat Tuesday -


Day 9: Petra - After a very early breakfast, we will be driven in the early morning to the Israel/Jorda nian border. After visa proceedings at the Jordanian Border, we will drive straight to the astonishing rose-red city of Petra which was built by the Nabateans (an early Arab tribe). Petra was renowned for its massive architectures, pools, dams and water channels. Petra is the legacy of the Nabateans who settled in the South of Jordan more than 2000 years ago. Petra is famous for its huge monuments such as The Treasury, Royal Tombs, the Court, Roman Theater, Roman Street, Qassier Rl-Bint (Palace of Pharaoh's daughter) and many other smaller monuments which fascinate visitors (lunch included). We will return back to the border via a short visit in Aqaba. In the evening, we enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Eilat Wednesday -


Day 10: Journey back north After breakfast, we will enjoy the morning at leisure at our hotel. For those who wish to go to visit the underwater observatory, can do so (entry to site is not included). Here we will witness the many aqua-marine life of the Red Sea. We will return to our hotel and check-out around noon. We will leave Eilat and travel north to visit Timna Park and Solomon's Pillars. The pillars are natural structures, which were formed by centuries of water erosion through a crack in the sandstone cliff until it became a series of distinct, pillar-shaped structures. We will arrive to Tel Aviv and to our hotel for check-in. Enjoy a relaxing dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv Thursday -


Day 11: Departure and arrival back home After breakfast, we will check-out from our hotel and transferred to Ben Gurion Airport for our flight back home. We will arrive back home with everlasting memories of Israel.
